Yes, "bitching about too much bootie." Playing as tiny armored super-babes isn't really appealing to many people except - wait for it - juvenile men. Surprisingly, the audience for videogames is actually much, much larger than this tiny little sub-group.

That seems awfully off. There's tabloid-ish games journalism and serious games journalism. There's proper investigative journalism and there's joke-like asides. All of those have been present since I've been reading gaming media (late 80s) - on a site like Kotaku you expect a mixture of all the above.

It may be Sony's platform but it's the publisher's game. It's understandable that Activision wants to squeeze every cent out of CoD and playing a new game on a friend's system from the comfort of your own home is a perceived threat to their bottom line.

I used share-play the other day and it worked really well. If companies choose to opt out that's on them, I don't really blame Sony since the feature works like they said it would.
