I can't claim to recognize all of those characters, but some of the ones I do recognize (Riddick, Rorschach, Jack Skellington, Neo, and the girl from The Ring, to name a few), really make me wonder what we're considering to be "hardcore gamers" here. Movie tie-ins are almost always best ignored and forgotten.

I really can't wait for the next-gen Nintendo console. I want to see how many people in that broad ocean think this new gimmick they come up with will be worth wasting money on, once they look back and reflect on how very little they used that wii that seemed like such a great idea when they bought it...

Am I the only one who hates how tom-boyish she looks in all these screens and videos? I can't tell if she's just young in whats shown here, or what, but....just....no.

Wii remote-only sounds to me like platforming with just one button to shoot, and one button to jump. This suggests either awkward controls or excessive inventory management for other items, if they exist. I don't even want to consider waggle options.

One to one motion control isn't going to result in working games. My biggest complaint with the Wii is that they force a waggle where a button press would work just as well (or better). Removing a controller altogether is not going to improve this.

Refusing to speak a language you understand perfectly well, and instead making a translator follow you around to give your orders is the greatest eccentricity I have ever encountered.

@GodhandX: I don't have any issue with playing tactically, I finished ME2 on insane this weekend without too much trouble, and I enjoyed it.

@R0bster: That's just it though, I don't think it does. With hit points you can run out, fight multiple enemies, and use a health pack as needed to stay in the fight. Lately with regenerating health you take damage so quickly that you have to duck back into cover almost immediately after popping out, and then wait a

Is anyone else getting tired of this duck-and-cover health regeneration trend? Cover systems are great, don't get me wrong, you need to avoid getting shot; but it seems like regenerating health is synonymous with having very little hit points. I'm tired of peaking out a corner for the brief seconds that it takes to

@Gyaruson: The two hardest fights in the game (IMO) are on that level. I find it best to ignore the Harbingers as long as you can, and pick off everyone else. Many times you kill a Harbinger, and then he takes control of a new drone just before you kill it, wasting time and ammo. Kill all the drones, then it's only

I love the buy-play-return cycle. I play 4-5 full games a month and this is the only way it's possible. DLC holds no interest because once I've beaten a game and finished its story, there's less drive to jump back into the middle of it. Being unable to sell back games will just mean I have to play far fewer games. The

You'd think they would show more appreciation to the fact that I would rather spend my money on their video games than on buying a new tv.

Four Swords with DS connectivity would be spectacular. Playing Zelda with four people remains one of my most enjoyable co-op experiences to date.

Mass Effect 2 has AMMO?! How did the entire galaxy develop worse weapons over just 2 years?

It's a classic example of why I can't stand the Wii. I don't understand why they feel the need to insist on motion controls when a simple button press works -better-. There are a tiny handful of games out there that use the wiimote capabilities to improve beyond standard controls, but 95% of the time its forced,

@Gyaruson: The fact that it's Ocarina of Time fully realized pretty much sums up my problem with the game: I've played it before. The entire thing was just a throwback to a great game. Had it been the original, it would've been brilliant, as it stands it was little more than a remake. It even goes so far as to give

@rebelphoenix1983: That's a great idea! I can't believe no one has suggested it yet. Next game, Link should ride a TANK

Banning inappropriate commenters is an excellent way to ensure quality discussions on the site, but what is the rationale behind the terribly frustrating audition system to become a commenter in the first place? Countless well structured, thought out comments (like this one!) are just left in digital limbo, never to

That would be really interesting to try out for a few minutes.
