PG nailed it. End thread.
No worries! Pooping on the Journey is trendy but I suspect most people who do haven’t driven a recent one. It received massive updates a few years back. I agree the Journey can be bested however it does have a strong value proposition. I also really enjoyed the Pentastar paired with AWD; it was quick with respectable…
I’ve had a Journey and it was a nice CUV (I had a 2015 R/T). MPG could have been better city, but other than that it was great. It also sells right about 100,000 units a year so “pointless” it is not.
Bullet 3 - Are you basing that on the outgoing Compass rather than the new one? Your view seems very dated at the Caliber ceased production 5 years ago.
*cries*
The 8 speed is a really good auto - hard to have complaints about it even in performance cars.
Except the turbo model. Those are acceptable!
Even as a Wrangler owner I can’t stand that.
32 - 33 Fords - too popular.
The second that Jeep becomes available for purchase as a single brand is the same second a bidding war breaks out. I would imagine either GM or Ford would be willing to pay almost any price for Jeep.
HI $kay!
It is cheap for a Wrangler. I lease my wife’s car because she’s terrified of owning a car out of warranty. I just leased her a Winter edition JKU and despite the sticker price being 13k higher than her last car it’s actually a cheaper monthly payment.
So what you’re really saying is that Jalops should crowd fund you an Exocet!
Should have stuck with 3" or less for a daily. As I’m sure you found out the hard way, an XJ doesn’t go over 3" easily and at 4.5" you’re already high enough that long arms are almost a requirement.
Yes it is!
The main issue with the Comanche is that it was built on the same line as the Cherokee but cost more to make and made less profit. Jeep was already struggling to keep up with demand for the Cherokee and the Comanche, while profitable, wasn’t as profitable as the Cherokee. Thus goodbye Comanche.
I really like the idea of the Elio and wanted them to succeed, but given the amount of money they’ve taken in and the simplicity of the design there’s no excuse for not having a product in market at this point.
Gotta give my XJ an extra special hug today. What a legend who I’m sure will be missed.
No.
