What I like about it is that the competition over the lap times results in much better engineered cars.

I can’t believe I’m about to say this - please feel free to call me crazy - but after watching that I can’t help but think the car can shave another 1 or 2 seconds. There wasn’t hardly any tire scrub / squeal and frankly it just didn’t look like a car on its limits.

The M4 GTS is a failure. A Camaro SS 1LE beats it around some tracks. Might not be a good bench racer for the Quadrafoleyyo.

You likely have thought of this already but I’m sure there are good wrenchers out there who would be happy to lend a hand from time to time! I totally get if it’s a solo thing but if you do get stuck don’t let it bring you down and ask for help. You might be surprised how willing folks are to lend a hand!

The numbers I got off Wiki have the power to weight being the same, and I’m hard pressed to imagine the 4th gen can beat a GSX around a track due to the AWD. I’ve driven a GSX but not the 4th gen. I looked at a different site and it agrees with your numbers so hard to say what’s more accurate.

The power to weight ratio between the two cars is identical however the 4th gen weighs 262 pounds more and is only FWD. The GSX has the advantage of AWD and less weight is always desirable.

My biggest gripe is that they have no true Mustang / Camaro competitor. I’m sorry but the Challenger just isn’t; it’s way too big and way too heavy, especially now that the Mustang and very much so the Camaro are now true sports cars and not just point and squirt machines.
