I agree—it was a fun movie. The fight scene on the aircraft carrier was perfectly absurd for a monster movie. Now the plot and the Legendary franchise hollow earth lore...that required even more suspension of disbelief than gigantic monster fights. Not sure I like that direction.

Agree to disagree,  Godzilla vs. Kong was a fun movie and it also didn't pretend that Kong would stand a chance against our lord and savior God....zilla.

I am no fan of AI but designers and storyboard artists still had to plot out the intro, tell the program what to render, and put it all together. Unless the title sequence is painted frame by frame, by hand, computer automation was involved somehow.

After finally watching through Rebels earlier this year I came to the realisation that the Ghost might actually be my favourite Star Wars ship. Something about the design just really works for me. How the hell is Quill’s mom dying from cancer ‘fridging’? It doesn’t motivate him to do anything, with only the possible exception of the second movie.

Also, seriously, who cares?  Was anyone in the theater, male or female, like, “Oh no, I thought I was going to get to learn about the rich inner life of Quill’s mom.”

And yet, how many movie characters are motivated by their father/brother/male friends being murdered?

Imagine being angry every time a female character dies, must be tiring.

If a female character dies, it’s fridging no matter what, because female and male characters should be equal and no male characters ever die in movies so no females should either.
