Dial of Destiny is likely to lose at least 200 million. Deadline has the production budget at 329 million and another 100+ million spent on marketing. Remember when you see box office figures that the studio isn't getting all that money. On average the studio gets 50-55% of the domestic box office, 43% of the

The Flash made 55 million domestic first weekend. This movie will lose lucasarts somewhere around 200 million.

The showing at Cannes was a huge mistake, but I can’t say they don’t deserve to fail.

It was bad, and they should feel bad. It peaked, like, eight minutes in with the Nazis on a Train setpiece.

I feel torn - ever year they waited obviously makes it harder to do anything meaningful with Ford in the role... But then again, had they waited just ONE more year, they w0uld definitely have thought of hiring Ke Huy Quan to bring Shortround back...

Some of us remember the last Indiana Jones movie and aren't wasting our money again.

After watching “Dial of Destiny” I wished I could use the Dial of Destiny to go back before I watched “Dial of Destiny” and get the time back.

I think the action scenes went on too long and the movie took itself too seriously. The “Logan” style of having the hero having lost everything, leave a trail of death wherever he goes and end accepting death didn’t fit for me for the adventure story of Indiana Jones.

I missed the Spielberg camera style throughout

i’ve been watching the seating charts for indiana jones on the app (you can preview what tickets have been sold) and i was seeing as few as 4 imax tickets sold for screenings. this is abysmal.

At last this site is accepting reality. Disney is failing mostly because it is producing shit.

Oh shut the fuck up already. You guys bullied him off Star Wars forever, what more do you want? He also had nothing to do with this one.

I was really surprised to read that they did that. It would have been so easy to have a throw-away line about him adventuring off-screen somewhere if they felt the need to explain his absence at all. (Adult children have their own lives sometimes!)

It’s absolutely bonkers that the latest Indy Jones movie cost 300 FRICKIN’ million dollars. How? Why?

I saw this last night and it’s actually worse than Crystal Skull. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is horrifically miscast in this movie. She is so unlikeable and just took me out of the movie every time I saw her punch a guy and knock him out. Also, why the need to make her seem like she’s so attractive that men would

It’s honestly quite bad. I usually tell close friends and family members to seek out good stuff, because supporting cinema (and cinemas) is something that I think’s important. I can usually get at least a couple of people to see something they might’ve been on the fence about. To quote Starship Troopers, “I’m doing my

Vulcans don’t have some superpower that makes the Vulcan neck pinch work. It’s just a technique they developed. You might as well complain about a white person doing karate, they didn’t invent it but they can learn it like anyone else.

Complete missed opportunity not having Pelia come and pick up the watch in La’an’s quarters at the end. “I’ll take that back now if you please”

They’re quite possibly setting up that La’an is the very reason Khan ends up...well...Khan. He has been left with a gun. He just witnessed a visit from someone who refused to help him escape from his childhood prison. He also just witnessed advanced technology. Much like Scotty shared the tech that results in

As good as I found this episode to be, my favourite - as a Torontonian - was the meta joke of Kirk declaring that they were in New York only for La’an to point out that no, they weren’t.

I wish the CBS would take advantage of the fact they film in a major city and create a set tour experience when they aren’t filming. They have to take the sets down anyway. Find a place to set them up and light them. Throw the costumes on some mannequins. Open a gift shop. They would clean up. People drive hours to
