I think another big standpoint to consider, Besides the whole GTA rampage and Yakuza rarely killing stand points, Is that the characters in Yakuza actually feel remorse when they kill someone or have to. Showing a very human side to the characters that's actually kinda tragic, Taiga Saejima for example.
