I'm also excepting to see a comment from a man asking how he can pick up women in bars in a non-creepy way. Because as we all know, nothing is more important than a man getting a date/getting laid.

This is the second story about a vicious murder I've read on Jezebel in as many weeks. The tone of them is very weird...like there's something inherently tragic and relatable about female murderers.
Literally Hitler? Really? Literally? Hitler?
Is that your idea of a joke? Because it isn't funny.
This is such a fun idea. I know her humor is sometimes self-depricating, but I really hope she gets to be over 60 and sexy without that being the punchline.
YES! Would we write an article about penile surgery referring to it as a "peepee"?!? I absolutely abhor the word "womb" and if I never see it on Jezebel again, I will be the happiest owner of a UTERUS ever.
The word 'womb' seems too biblical to me. I wish they'd used the word 'uterus' instead.
Yeah, womb transplants are SUPER easy
“womb” is not an anatomical term! they mean uterus, right? i never know what they mean!
I'll be honest that's always my first thought when one of these articles come up. It's almost instinctual, but as an adoptee, I understand acutely how flawed and commercialized used the adoption process as become. It does drive me batshit though when I hear people say things like "I want my own kid" or "I couldn't…
Yes, she'd have to be on immune suppressants forever, pretty much. In rare circumstances, for certain types of organs, people can be weaned off, but it's very rare. A lot of research is aimed at developing strategies to alleviate the immune response to transplanted organs, because the drugs themselves are pretty bad…
Well, if that's true, I'd assume you, of all people, would understand that people need to respect other people's boundaries.
I think, aside from the main character, all transgender characters are played by transgender actors and actresses. The show doesn't address it directly, but I wonder if the choice was made because the show opens before Maura fully transitions; she still passes as male in the first episode. Not quite sure, though.
fair, but it also lets us watch this woman slowly realize over 20 years that she's not just a guy with a fetish or "into crossdressing," and see her start to thrive and flourish the more in touch she becomes with herself, which is something tv hasn't done well/at all before this show. what was great about watching,…
I respectfully disagree. Maura is finally experiencing the world in the way she wants, and because she's doing things she's yearned to do for years, there's that extra element of excitement and "finally!" It's not that she's not a "real woman"; it's that she's having experiences that a cis-gendered girl would have…
Hello. I am an English person and due to my cultural tendency to be somewhat reserved, I have never commented before. I tend to lurk... but I want to share the comment that accompanied my facebook post about this show the other day, because it was the first bit of telly since Breaking Bad that gave me shivers of…
oh, this is nice. so it's on ME to respond to YOU in the way YOU desire - because if I don't, you're entitled to treat every other women you meet as a piece of ass and not a human being?
No one is complaining about someone who says "Have a nice day" or "have a great day" and then moves on with their life. And no one is complaining about someone who tries to strike up a genuine conversation with you (as long as they respect it if you don't want to speak to them) So don't misrepresent their statements…
A lot of them don't.
No, he's not entitled to say anything to me particularly as it relates to how I look.
