I can't tell if it's regional, or if four years really makes that much of a difference, because I'm sixteen and I know who most of the celebrities you listed are, and of the Youtube people I have only heard of Ryan Higa, and I thought he'd kind of faded away a year or two ago.

Yeah, you're absolutely right. I reread the tweet after getting some sleep, and I have no idea where I was coming from

I have to admit I am not familiar with the cause of the crash. Int his case though, I mostly have a problem with the fact that some of the families were complaining, and Bill Nye basically told them where they should be directing their anger.

Wow, cannot believe Bill Nye said that. It seems like a dick move, especially considering that some of the family members of the Challenger crew criticized Beyonce's use of the clip. I can't believe his response is that they shouldn't feel how they feel because clearly those people died because of people at NASA's

This, forever and always.

I agree that it's a problem as a whole, but I think it's unfair to say that a character is automatically not well-written just because they do that. What if the other people are more trained or experienced? What if there are male characters also freaking out? What if it's a female character that remains calm?

I kind of disagree here. I think what we refer to as a "strong female character" is one who is fully developed as a person. And many real people are unhelpful or biased, or freeze up in the face of danger.

Since when is 'pictures' shortened to 'pix'? What's wrong with 'pics'?

Yeah, no. I'm a lesbian, and I despise creepy staring. You seem to forget that tons of the LGBTQ community have to deal with this as women.

Hell yeah! Ha, were you here a week or two ago when it dipped below thirty degrees every morning?

I certainly hope so.

I've never noticed that or heard it mentioned. I guess it depends on what trips your gaydar. We don't have straight guys acting stereotypically campy, but I suppose if someone were used to larger divides between men and women they might think Californian straight guys are gay.

Maybe it's just that I live in Northern California, but I realized to my utter glee that this is not that weird for me. I see similar behaviors around me all the time, and no one would blink at any of the people doing what they did in the video.

That term only applies if the person doesn't want children at all, which very well might not be the case here.

They weren't taunting or being cruel to her though. They loved the movie, they just found one particular scene funny when it was meant to be serious. Considering it was their mother hopping along tied up, it's not hard to see where they're coming from. She doesn't mention anything about taunting or mean comments.

Okay, that's the term I'm using from now on. And wow, I am in exactly the same boat! I can't even remember/retell scary stories without tearing up. And that camping one made my vision go BLURRY.

I'm kind of glad to hear it happens to other people too. It also happens when I tell stories I find really scary. I still can't tell that middle-school "Molly's Doll" story withut my throat closing up and my eyes tearing up.

Does anyone else have a weird tearing-up reaction to being scared? Whenever I read scary stories, tears just well up in my eyes as an automatic physiological reaction.

Definitely the little girl in the bathroom.

I would just like to note one more dumb, stupid thing he has written.
