Its not really that hard, few to many screws, i took mine appart and put it back again with the help of youtube, had a few problems with the ribbon cables but than was going behing the metal casing, you shouldnt need to go that deep, you'll need a sertain torx screwdriver but thats about it, taking the case of and…

its pretty simple to drill holes in the underside of the ps3 casing, though, you'd best put some cross brasing inside, cause eventually the plastic may crack and come loose from the screws.
