Just sold my Z4 3.0si. A beautiful machine that should be a Miata with the engine fixed. However the whole is less than the sum of its parts. Uninspiring handling and an engine that is competent but does not stir the soul. The new one looks like a Kia.

Could the same be said of the previous Supra? Most of the hype seemed to be around its tuning capability. I drove the current BMW non-M lineup including the Z4 and they left me feeling the same way. I’d pick the six cylinder engine because half of what make a great sports car to me is how it sounds.
