Not in the one percent? You are a poor, not a person.

Correction: Folding seats flat was a result of me misreading your ‘folding things flat’ comment. I would say that most of the challenges were not two dimensional and could not be solved by rotating axis.

That would apply to the insistence of having space utility in an SUV. A crossover coupe is the opposite of that.

A crossover coupe, with its rear sloped roofline, is as impractical as this European hatchback:

You are definitely are a better engineer than I am, because despite the fact that it took 30 minutes to force an old 27in CRT TV through the only orifice it could fit in - the rear door - I apparently did not think to check if the rear seats could be lowered.

From your reply thanks but I don’t want any points from you. I use my car daily to haul stuff from the local home improvement center. That you say the Civic can haul more stuff than the HRV just blows my mind. I sold my Accord specifically because it couldn’t carry anything useful, whereas the first gen Scion xB that

Surprising considering your handle. Most of the ones listed are hardly coupes but well engineered crossovers. Economical and very practical. Taller hight is more useful than the flattened load spaces and reclined seating of station wagons. Shorter than your average sedan too. I don’t get the hate.

In a moment of brilliance the engineer suggested, ”why don’t we stick the screen above the dash, designers be damned!”

Thought it was the Maxima that started the trend.

Most of those are pretty awesome cars.

The people who hate crossover coupes are those that need to put car categories in a box. No pun intended. A crossover coupe does not have more utility than you need, just more than you are used to. An X6M is way more practical than a Bentley Continental but just as fast. What about the X5 you ask? Well, what if the X6

Prius is known to be one of the most reliable cars. They routinely rack up half million miles. That is one reason why the taxi crowd love them. The electric drive takes the stress off the ICE. Complexity doesn't seem to be an issue for them.

This will obviously turn into one of the most heated arguments on Jalopnik.

It looked up Ancestry.com and discovered the Infiniti FX is a first cousin.

Come out of your box. You'll never discover anything with knee-jerk reactions.

I must be its mother because I love that face. Looks smart!

It’s drives well enough and the hint of V6 growl is lovely.

Because 50k today is not your father's 50k. It's not a lot of money any more.

The coolest thing about that one is the Japan Automobile Association badge.

That’s the Palatov D2 in the picture. They collaborated with Cascadia Motion on their latest (and first EV) entry for the Pikes Peak hill climb. Palatov, which has been featured previously on Jalopnik, is a fascinating operation.
