One of the rules, like every year in which a new Generation was released, was that only Pokémon from the new Generation (V) were allowed. Also, I don't think they ban in tiers like Smogon, but they restrict teams to 1 or 2 of the powerful legendaries (Mewtwo, Kyogre...).

The problem is not whether companies like Rockstar, EA, etc. would use the law or not, but the fact that they could if they wanted to. Why give them that power? You probably trust Rockstar, but do you trust Activision? Or the record companies (as this is not only videogames)?

Well not Bioshock, as it's out in 2012.

I actually was excited for the possibilities when they announced Wii-DS compatibility (more so because it would be wireless and there would be no need for extra peripherals, like the GBA-Gamecube connections). I was disappointed when apparently no games used it. This would've made an excellent Four Swords! Maybe even

OMG where was this during my childhood? (Though really, I never even had a SNES)

The show sucks and has sucked ever since I wasn't in the target demographic anymore.

Similarly, the Wii discs are a "proprietary DVD" format but the Wii can't itself play DVDs, outside of homebrew. Now that I think about it, homebrew will probably "unlock" the feature to play Blu-rays eventually.

Zelda: Link times Four

Sounds like Windows 7

If they're asking competent people, they would probably ask "Wii or the new Nintendo?". Either way, so far the rumors pen it as being 100% backwards compatible with the Wii, so there wouldn't be any problem either way...

Depending on where you live, 4-5 Mbps *is* high speed internet. Here in Monterrey, Mexico that's the most you'll get. (Well Axtel has recently started to introduce fiber and speeds of up to 100 Mbps, but they're hardly in the majority of the city)

I think ALL demos are "gold-only" for a week.

You get 8 more boxes (16 total) when you put at least one Pokémon on each of the original 8. Then you get 8 more boxes when you put at least one Pokémon on each of those 16, 24 total. So yes, at the end there's more space. (Diamond and Pearl had 18). =)

They had "Toon Link" alright, but the colors were so much more vivid in the Wind Waker, and that's what I'd hope for a new 3DS game...

I don't think people are looking at the possibilities. I mean, I immediately though of Four Swords Adventures (and no need of a portable for each!). Also, think local multiplayer games like Mario Kart, with everyone choosing their character and kart and voting for a track individually. No more "ugh, who pressed B?".

It definitely is! Most awesome from start to finish. I particularly love Dear Rosemary and Arlandria.

I realize it's not everyone's cup of tea (the lack of enemies), but I loved it exactly because of that, the exploration (mostly) free from enemies. I dunno why, I just really liked it.

What? Why? I loved those as a kid, and even now they still sell them here in Mexico...

"At best, they have the depth of something you'd plunk tokens in at the arcade."
