A group of girls, each with their own insecurities, goes off and saves the world (or at least NYC) from all types of crime. It's perfect for a 13 year old girl.

Except that fast food places offer super cheap, filling food right away. For a low income overworked family that doesn't have sufficient nutrition knowledge, fast food is a go to. So, making the fast food a little better helps on that end, I guess.

I lived in suburbia, but my parents did not get cable until the 2004 elections, so my 80's/90's childhood was all Ghostwriter, 321 Contact, Reading Rainbow, and an occasional episode of Full House and Punky Brewster. I don't think I have seen a single episode of any of those Nickelodeon shows.
