Thanks for the link.

That's what I was going to comment about, all of this "they are not my real parents" stuff really annoyed me.

I have this one, or one very similar, and I am a big fan. I went to Dick's Sporting Goods for it. [www.amazon.com]

Ooh I was going to recommend Mango Shaped Space. It's by the same author as Every Soul A Star, which I did recommend. Good call!

For adventures lead by kick-ass girls with a healthy dose of "who needs grown ups anyway," I HIGHLY recommend the Kiki Strike books by Kirsten Miller. A group of girls, each with their own insecurities, goes off and saves the world (or at least NYC) from all types of crime. It's perfect for a 13 year old girl.

That sounds perfect. Thermoses are awesome. And, in case you are scared, it's actually about as easy to use as any electric coffee maker. (No, I am not paid by them).

Do you know if he likes coffee/the whole process or just starbucks? I got one of these from my then-boyfriend from my birthday (we're both really into coffee, but he knows more about it than I do) and I love it. It makes good coffee and is a lot of fun to use!

Yes! That's what I was going to write. How about. "Sexual Assualt. That's the crime Anne's attacker committed when he ignored her "no."

I've certainly heard that for college relationships re: Thanksgiving. Kids who went off to college still dating their high school sweetheart come home for the first time over Thanksgiving and end the relationship.

I slept on a twin for four years after college.

I had this quandary, and I finally went with a full size bed (actually, when I left work to go back to school, go figure). And it's AMAZING. It totally anchors my bedroom, and is so inviting looking, plus, even though I am not sharing my bed with anyone right now, it's nice to be able to have a roommate or friend flop

well I imagine they are no less bloody originally, but you are not giving any money to the industry

"what she describes as a mission to educate women about their anatomy and challenge taboos." I'm sorry, telling us that our vaginas are dirty is educating us about our anatomy and challenging taboos? Or is it telling us that different races have different vaginal voices that is the education and taboo breaking? Or is

Woah. Deemer was not anywhere near victim blaming!

I totally agree. Ginny was spilling things around Harry from the first moment she met him.

I agree with you gaurory, to an extent, but I always idealized Julia Roberts as being down to earth and above the game. though thinking about that, that's unfair of me, because she needs to get jobs even though she's not 24 anymore. Sigh.

Except that fast food places offer super cheap, filling food right away. For a low income overworked family that doesn't have sufficient nutrition knowledge, fast food is a go to. So, making the fast food a little better helps on that end, I guess.

Yes, the boy is clearly legit upset.

Ghostwriter!!! I lived in suburbia, but my parents did not get cable until the 2004 elections, so my 80's/90's childhood was all Ghostwriter, 321 Contact, Reading Rainbow, and an occasional episode of Full House and Punky Brewster. I don't think I have seen a single episode of any of those Nickelodeon shows.
