Honestly I don't think it's that bad. It's all how you look at it mentally, I see progress, where others see loss of entitlement. (I'm not saying entitlement as a bad thing here either, by all means, if you buy a game you should feel entitled to have the physical disk worth something if you want it to be). It just

You could have a gamefly app on the system that has your account linked to it. The system would know what game you currently have rented out for gamefly, and will allow you to play that game without activation until you return it. That way, there would never be anything extra the user would need to do, so no one would

Waiting for all the facts doesn't generate article clicks.

Again: wait for E3.

This is rediculous, i'm going to say this once more.

So Gamefly responsibly is not making any statements until we are clear on what Miscrosoft's policy on used games even is, as well as not giving information any sort of system they might or might not have in place for such a scenario.

See: all other licensed software besides games.

This is what is called PR, and having to deal with an immature base with a big soap box.

Why the gaming press? Here's something that I really wish the 'gamers' would realize. These consoles aren't just gaming consoles anymore. Succinctly put, it's not that hard to roll that feature into a console anymore, hell you can do it on mobile phones. If my console CAN be an entertainment hub, then damnit, I want

According to the article, this was said during the interview immediately after the event! Why wasn't it published a lot sooner?

I'm confused as to why people keep accusing MS of "backpedalling" etc. when most of the information they're supposedly back pedalling on is information that was nothing but rumour.

Thank you for the post, said in a more mature manner than myself. Thanks! :)

Do not think you come off as an Xbox fanboy at all. You presented your case logically and without any perceived form of bias. Wish more people would post an opinion as clearly and concisely as you.

While I understand privacy concerns, I think people blew it out of proportion. If you leave it in standby mode, is it "watching you?" Sure. Is it judging you or publishing pictures anywhere? No. Does it generate mathematical data based on issues it has detecting things and send those problems to Microsoft so they can

i was never worried about mandatory kinect. it's the smartest decision they've made so far. Kinect was held back last gen by the fact that it was a perephiral. The fact that its included with every console is actually very exciting. People are being way too paranoid.

I find this to funny.

Because there's a million other details they could have also mentioned if they wanted the conference to never end. It was the people with tin foil hats that brought up the concern.

I was able to get a laugh out of this, let me share how! Click the CC button on the video, turn on Japanese (automatic captions), then turn on Translation to English. Then giggle to such awesome phrases as:

"Tribe of mystery that is to be ruined now, In order to protect the multilateral from white Okawa"

Yes, I am that

Yeah he'd totally use his main twitter account. This is about as smart as the suggestion of turning off his PC so it can't be posted..wow.

You are absolutely right about physical items, but are neglecting that a game is digital content. I would love to own every single game that I have bought over the years but the truth is, by agreeing to the terms of a EULA, I only own the right to access and play said game, just like most other software out there. I
