They're getting other developers on board for this as well. With SteamOS people can take their existing library and new games to their living rooms and TVs. It's basically a PC console with all the media features to help it be an HTPC as well, from the look of it.
Your last point actually sort of validates his thought of shifting to PC gaming. We haven't seen how streaming will work, yes, but based on Gabe Newell's earlier statements about how it could pan out, the most basic setup would be free and solely for the purpose of streaming. Let's see what this week holds for us =)
As Heppe noted, "I guess that's the greatest complement you could get—that Japan likes your mecha." And an even greater complement is that it's not just Japan.
Good stuff! Hope it works out time-wise for the OP =) I guess a 600W PSU should be fine too, though not for a future SLI setup, just saying.
I can't say this with complete certainty since I'm no authority on the matter, but you could get a GTX 660 TI or a GTX 760 for that price. Unless you found a killer deal for a GTX 670, though those are rare to come by, I think..
I thought I was the only one who picked that up! I wondered if he wasn't Japanese there for a second - then I felt that must be a racist thought, in some way..? Don't ask, I just woke up a lil' while ago. /smh
It seems like it should allow streaming since it's a Tegra 4 (correct me if I'm wrong, anyone), provided you have a graphics card that supports it.
I made a post earlier saying that it's also available on Newegg till 9/23 for $90 after a $20 off code and $20 rebate, so if you want you could check that out. Guess Shane hasn't approved my post yet =(

The developers responded to the request/possibility for Multiplayer on the Steam Greenlight page: "Thats tricky question. We would love some kind of multiplayer, because it's what makes a game click in the long run. When you can compete with others, a game becomes "a place" you can visit every day and always find…
Oh. My. Word. I get that they're going for a matched UI across devices, hence the resizing of the frost dock, but really?
Not what you asked for, but here, play with this =)
Totally agree with both of you =/
A star for you, sir, for saying nice things about PCs without taking pot shots at consoles... Oh, and the last sentence of your post. Bravo! Let's all just get along and play what we like.
Sharing is caring! =)
Sad face!
Glad to hear that; all the best!
