Hahaha... I heard this from someone else and quit after book six... but then I heard it gets good again at 9?

This is generally my rule, but there have been a handful of books I’ve quit before page 10. I always have a huge “to read” pile so I hate wasting my time on a book that’s boring or annoying.

Do you like the habit tracker? I hadn’t really heard of it before but a friend mentioned it to me. I like to tick it off in my planner every day, but maybe an app would help.

I’m doing five at a time, usually in the morning and usually on my toes. My form is still kind of terrible after the third one, but I’m sticking with it. On days when I do other workouts I’ll do them from my knees, and I can keep better form.

I’m sure more obsessive brains than mine have discussed the Kessel Run, but in a 3D environment of space, if there’s a lot of obstacles between A and B, doesn’t getting there in the shortest distance make sense? Like “as the crow flies” vs the highway. Most people take the safe route, which is 20 parsecs, but Han Solo

Confession: I’ve never been in because I object to paying to visit churches.

From my experience driving in Quebec I’d go as far as saying do not rent a car! That way lies regret and much road rage!

If you’re a low-maintenance traveller, I highly recommend the Saint François Xavier Furnished Suites. It’s about $100 a night, great for couples and the suite we got had a pullout sofa so hypothetically could sleep four people for cheaper than a hostel dorm. Great location right on the edge of Old Montreal, with full

Good tip - thanks! I’ll row aggressively to balance myself out ;)

I’m excited to take part in this! I always read these and don’t do it myself, but this is a great fit for me because I work out regularly including some weight lifting and a lot of yoga but my push ups are shiiiiit. I only just discovered that I have chest muscles under my boobs. Who knew??? (I knew hypothetically

A man telling me his ex was “crazy” is an immediate red flag.

Ki Hong Lee makes me uncomfortable in these movies because I find him very attractive but he’s playing a teenager and my brain is not really happy with that whole situation.

It’s a sign of my ownership and control of my own body. A stand against certain beauty standards (although tattoos are much less taboo than they once were) Literally changing the skin I was given - expressing myself in a way that can’t be silenced.

OT, but all my tattoos are by women artists. The first time it was coincidence - a friend had been tattooed by an artist whose style I loved so I went to her for my first tattoo. But since then I’ve sought out female artists. I have no doubt that there are talented, trustworthy male artists, but I like supporting

I lost 20 pounds a few years ago and dropped two band sizes and a full cup size. So yeah, no boob job necessary, just fat doing what fat does and depositing in convenient locations.

In weird synchronicity, I’m currently reading Always Coming Home. It was mentioned in an i09 article and I hadn’t read it so I got it from the library. It’s so good - I can definitely see how it will shape and change my appreciation of sci fi.

“She is only their third woman prime minister.”

It’s very clear that the character is Asian and prefers Asian bodies, but there isn’t a lot about his dissonance at being in a white body. It’s a big deal that he’s essentially ripped out of his existing body and forced into one he didn’t choose, but I’d say that’s more along the lines of “reluctant hero” than
