But that's the nice thing: you don't have to use it, and honestly, you never did. Windows 8.1 introduced Boot to Dekstop, a handy checkbox that lets you skip the Start screen entirely—something you could do since day one with one of many third-party utilities. As of the last Windows 8 update, it's even turned on by

Funny, because when I go out and act aloof or disinterested in women, nothing ever happens.

Yep, I seriously question this extensions ability not to be exploited either. Plus alot of OKCupid's quizzes are pretty fucking stupid and irrelevant.

And the thing is, now that the press conferences have subsided, you did correctly call this. I had friends posting things on twitter, and I was like, if that is the best it has to offer, I guess I really don't give a shit about games anymore.

And if like me, you don't have a good paying job, it's also useless shit you will never be able to afford, nor can you even afford to drink.

Finally using to do something useful that I have wanted to do for many years, deface the Fox News website and get away with it.

Or if you are like me, you live paycheck to paycheck, and you can only afford the bare minimum and would drive without car insurance if you could. In my state, Michigan, we have that no-fault bullshit law, and I must have minimum liability coverage. The cheapest rate for my 1998 Olds Intrigue (I own outright) is

Yep. That's a good idea. I had a couple spare flash drives I used to prop mine up when I had a laptop. Worked well too.

Yeah, I agree it used to be just a GOOD device to additionally watch video content on, but wasn't GREAT because of the paywall to use Netflix and other apps on the console by requiring an Xbox Live Gold membership.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I am just glad to have a job, and a paycheck will be nice to see. I have cut down my other bills and I think it should be manageable. At least staying at WalMart for a while will level out the resume.

I was working in IT in a Tier 1 Helpdesk capacity, but I seem to have hit a wall. I have returned to retail for the time being to focus on getting some stable employment. Whether or not I return to IT in the future remains to be seen.

I'm a single person with no kids and other than the living outside of my parents house, and I even have to borrow money from them every so often, I fail to meet every single one of these points. Life sucks when you're on the bottom, even if you have tried to improve things for yourself.

There is an alternative to MagicJellyBean to find your Windows product key that is free of toolbars and Malware. It's called Belarc Advisor. I had to use it at one of my previous jobs in the last 6 months and it will not only provide the key but a great system profile for other types of troubleshooting.

I was actually just about to suggest Glassdoor and then I saw your comment. Glad someone has already listed it here.

Well, after 2 months and 10 days of unemployment, I finally found a job, but it's at WalMart, so I will be making only a little higher than minimum wage, $7.80/hr. I know, I know, but I can't be picky and I am not. WalMart is giving me about 35 hours a week, so at least the paychecks will be almost full.

Yep, Sennheiser's make a few good pairs of over the ear styled phones for under $30-40. I sold the pair I used to own for nearly the full purchase price.

I liked it better when it had no pay prompts and was called Columns.

My magic number isn't much, it's $28-30k. Which is about $7k more than the most I have ever made which was in 2008. I am single, no kids, and 1 old car which has been paid off for years from the late 90s and is cheap (especially in my state on car insurance), and a prepaid cell phone for about $40 a month, and cable

Thankfully the cons in my neck of the woods don't get this bad, although to be fair it's been about 4 years since I have been to one.

Me and Mountain Dew are good friends. I'd die without it.
