When the first thing the new writer does is pull a cheap publicity stunt like this, I’m not inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt. Besides that, this guy isn’t a new writer. He worked on the series before getting a promotion into his current position, and you can attribute some huge stinker episodes to him.

Als

Why did I stop caring? Because of poorly paced godawful writing that the producers did nothing to fix, year, after year, after year. I became exhausted with sticking around whole seasons, only for a couple okay episodes. Heck, the last episode I really enjoyed, was one of the shows written by Neil Gaiman, and that was

My my, I see you’re oh so upset to see somebody sharing their opinions on the internet. Tell me, what’s it like to have your worldview so easily shaken? After all, I cannot seem to imagine myself ever being so utterly thin-skinned! XD

Oh right, I forgot about this whole gimmick.

Eh, good thing I’ve already given up on Doctor Who until the next reboot. The stench of desperation would be a huge turn off otherwise.

Making it difficult to replace the ram isn’t as common, but using PSU’s with proprietary form factors is something that happens a lot. This is especially true for companies like Dell or whatnot.

For most people, yeah. They just need to make sure to grab one that’s built for tinkering. You know, no welded in place proprietary power supplies, RAM sticks with no discernable way to remove, etc etc etc. The more a machine uses off the shelf parts, the easier it’ll be to tweak to your heart’s content.

Right, if you’re confident or have extra money to throw at the build to cover screwups, go ahead. If you’re a first time builder with a very limited budget. I’d save a bit longer, get a prebuilt system, and maybe swap out the GPU and power-supply when you can afford it.

See, this is my problem with building PC’s. If everything goes well, it’s a great deal, you save a ton of money, get a better rig, etc etc etc. But, the first time something goes wrong, it get’s a whole lot more complicated.

I once tried to put together a new rig of a budget, but it’d been several years since I’d done

Electric cars have TORQUE, lots and lots of torque. Their range still isn’t great, but nobody can ever accuse them of being wimpy otherwise!

Real shame about the range tho.

There’s a reason I don’t follow most Youtube personalities. There are a few more serious ones that are fine. But, for every thoughtful youtuber out there, there seems to be dozens more that are nothing but loud-mouthed idiots. At least among the relatively big names anyway.

Also, pertaining to this video specifically.

A few quick thoughts.

Yeah, 4K’s going to be nice. But, it’s definitely not the sort of visual leap we experienced going from 480i to 1080p, or even 720p. Beyond a certain point you’re just not going to notice a higher resolution unless you’re going from one very large television set to another. I mean, it helps at any

That’s a reference to Starship Troopers, the novel, not the film. You’re not going to see a movie about space marines going after aliens called Bug’s. That’s a surefire way of getting sued by the Heinlein estate for copyright infringement.

Even if it wasn’t, that’s way too thin a premise to base a side-story film or

I’m going to have to disagree. Focusing on the xenomorph’s may have slowed down the descent some, but they were going to end up in the same place no matter what. The problem is that the setting in Aliens is really quite barebones when you think about it. Until the last few films, nothing much really existed that

No, don’t rework the story for Alien Covenant 2. LET IT DIE ALREADY.

There hasn’t been a well-received Alien film for decades now. It’s time to take the hint. Aliens simply wasn’t one of those films destined to become a multi-decade spanning mega-franchise. Instead of desperately trying to recapture the glory of the

Dear Hollywood.

Focus on making a good movie first, dangit!

If it’s successful, you can come back and turn it into a franchise later. But as it stands, more often than not, when you try to turn something into a movie franchise when you don’t have one good film to start with, it bombs.

Hey, play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

I care, a lot of my friends who read comics care

Just because you think people care, doesn’t mean anyone actually does. This was something this guy did half a lifetime ago, that wasn’t with any malice and didn’t hurt a single solitary person.

If you actually care about something so ridiculously trivial, then you need to get a friggin life!

Gawker editor continues to whine about crap nobody cares about.

How the heck is that possible!?!
