The militia is every male of age, hence "the right of the people." Not, "the right of the militia."

Spoiler alert for Spec Ops: The Line, read and (hopefully) reply only if you've played the game or atleast are aware of one of the major scenes in it:
An AR-15 is not an assault weapon the same way a Yugo is not a truck.
Except it hasn't. That was the fear when Texas changed it's CCDW laws in the early 90's and it's hardly become that.
You do realize it could be both, right? It's not like anti-federalists didn't have their say or input when creating the constitution. It's pretty well noted that one of their chief fears was that of the Federal Government becoming too large and suppressing the rights of the people.
In my experience with state facilities, the pay is the same regardless. As been said, there are by far more all male facilities than not, so generally speaking, you go where you'll be hired or per the state's needs.
Ahah. You are absolutely correct. I had forgotten about AT-43. My apologies.
I'm pretty sure it's from Fantasy Flight's "Dust Warfare." Although I guess it could come from the earlier "Dust Tactics."
I stopped keeping count, but I honestly think I have like 400 PS2 games? Speaking of which. I think I should pick up afew PS2's as back ups. Otherwise I just have an expensive collection of Frisbees.
Just wanted to point out - Fully automatic weapons are legal for civilian purchase too. They are much harder to get and have abunch of rules attached to them that are like wading into your first year of law school, but still completely legal.
Say, "Scuba."
It's no worries. My mentor once said that you'll never convince anyone by calling them an idiot and that idea always stuck with me (Even if I wish I put it into practice more often). We all want what is best for people, we just disagree as to how that should be done. I just wish more could be kept civil and rational…
Stats are always a weird topic to discuss because there's so many ways to make them look the way someone wants. I'm sure if you peered through the UCR, you could find some useful information to support your argument as well as me finding more to support mine.
I'm just curious, where did you get your statistic that we are at a high for gun related deaths and violence come from and may I see it when if you had a chance? Also, because I'm somewhat confused - what are we a high for gun-related deaths as compared to what? Ourselves? Other countries? Again, just curious.
"deaths by gun are going up"
Hi. Let me preface this with - I don't really ever read Jezebel. The article caught my attention from Kotaku and so I was reading abit of comments. I wasn't planning on ever commenting on any of them as I doubt I'd change anyone's mind on anything, however, your post here caught my attention.
I'm still really confused as to why this is receiving so much hate and resistance. I mean, I get LOL internet so no one can be satisfied with anything, but it seems like this is just getting way too much resistance. Whether you like it or not, the revolution was a pretty interesting time with some pretty interesting…
To be completely fair - I think that's just youtube comments MO. I'm pretty sure that you could post a vid of kittens and dogs being awesome bestest friends forever and you'd get an assload of people talking about how you must have tortured those poor animals and you're the worst human known to mankind instead of them…
Why even limit it to that? I mean, Dungeons and Dragons has DRAGONS in it's name! DRAGONS, Hazelnut! DRAGONS! Clear and obvious rip off. Someone alert the Zenimax lawyers, stat. We gotta take this Gygax guy to the cleaner while we make articles comparing it to every Elder Scrolls game EVAR.
