Here is how I interpreted the 24 hour thing:
Once you connect your Xbox to the internet it will continue to work like normal for a 24 hour period regardless of whether or not you are online. Once the 24-hour period is up you have to reconnect in order to play games and such.

Definitely not. My bike knowledge is primarily with Fixies but if I'm correct a Mountain Bike would be better for rough terrain and a Road Bike would be ideal for long distance bike trips (5km+).
