I don’t see the uproar about this. You pay a monthly service charge. If you quit a gym mid-month, you aren’t refunded. You still have access for the month then that access is cut off.  Tons of businesses operate this way. This is small potatoes compared to the other atrocities they commit on a seemingly daily basis.
