I beg to differ. My cat's name is Gus (or Gussie) and she is absolutely adorable.

I loved the Monkees as a kid. My sister and I would watch the reruns of their show on Nickelodeon. And Davy was always my favorite. The Monkees Reunion tour in the mid-1980s was my first concert.
I changed my name when I got married. My husband told me he really wanted me to be Mrs. WishIWasInNY and I thought that was sweet. I did try to keep my last name for professional reasons, but it got too confusing. So, I have his last name.
I eloped in secret in a white sundress by Ann Taylor, which I had worn to work for years (we got married on our lunch hour). My husband liked it better than my "real" wedding dress, which I wore for a ceremony with our families months later. I still wear it to work and no one is the wiser, except my husband :)
Ann, you beautiful spinster.
I see Kristen Wiig and Jon Hamm together and I want to scream at her, "He's so bad for you!"
I knew it was coming (love the book and the Swedish version of the movie), but it was VERY tough for me to watch. It made me sick. And I did not feel that way in the Swedish movie. You know it is coming when she goes to his apartment, so if you can leave for a couple of minutes for popcorn or to go to the bathroom,…
I need to know what shampoo she uses. And the conditioner. And is it too much to hope that the dress she is wearing is one of her "Kate spends $100 on a dress just like the common people?"
When I was a toddler, my parents were meeting with the priest to discuss my baby sister's christening. According to my father, I came into the room, looked at the priest, said, "God damn it" and walked out.
LOVE!! Going home now to put my Gussie into the sink and hopes it catches on. Seriously, that photo made my Friday.
Another example of a man who thinks he can pass laws telling women what they can do with their bodies. Ugh. This makes me sick. And as a Floridian, it makes me sad.
The cheese diet?! Well, I wasn't planning on trying to lose weight this year, but I think I will try it! Especially if it involves stinky French cheeses.
I would totally buy the sexy librarians calendar. And if some of them had library cats....swoon.
How dare you. I have NEVER forgotten Clive Owen. NEVER!
Agreed. So much better than the Swedish version. And I am with you - I don't understand why it is not doing better. It's fantastic.
This is why I don't participate in Gallup polls. The Life & Style poll "Who's Your Favorite Kardashian" is where it's at.
I loved The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and I, too, wish it had done better. That said, I had a fantastic time at Sherlock Holmes 2. It was lots of fun.
I really liked Ready Player One, which I read on the plane from Fort Myers to St. Louis last weekend.
I love these. Reminds me of the stories my sister (a third grade teacher) tells me about the students in her class.
Mindy! I LOVED your book. My question is - what episode of The Office that you wrote are you the most proud of? What episode do you wish you had written?
