Yes - but you could buy an old copy off amazon for cheap and upgrade it indefinitely for free is the point. Windows makes you buy a new copy when they do a version upgrade. Linux is generally free no matter what. When my mac pro finally gives up the ghost, I am going to Hackintosh the hell out of it.

I have a better Idea. List a PS4 for $50 on EBay with your friend sitting next to you. As soon as the sale goes live, they buy it. Then you have an actual sales receipt and paper trail to take to walmart. Not that I would do that sort of thing. :-)

I did this as well. Someone should mention though that installing PEX requires special tools and fittings where as all you need for copper is solder and a blow torch. That said, PEX is friggin awesome.

I think you are wrong about that. If they have access to your computer where you backed up the device they can open the backup, but not on the device itself.

I suppose if there is something you really, really don't want them to see, you could take your phone and throw it as hard as you can against a wall or sidewalk rendering it useless. Then it would be up to them to prove that you destroyed evidence and they would have no way of proving what was on the phone.
