This is the next step in watering a desgn language down. Murcielago was a nice evolution of the Diablo. The Gallardo was a little to slab- sided to my liking, but anyway, it slotted in nicely as an entry level Lambo. In came the Sesto Elemento, which took the new design language and cranked it to eleven. Elements…

The developped that design language up a notch and created the Sapporo. I like ém. Clean, crisp, clean, sober lines, no bulges, no clutter, very 1980s. I think the design aged pretty well, the cars themselves obviously didn´t.
The IAA is in Hannover this year, and it is the Nutzfahrzeug IAA, dedicated to commercial vehicles.
Oh... and why is each end every of my entries pending approval? Is someone miffed at me, did I insult anyone?
Come to think of it- theres one car that´s even cleaner: The Lancia/ Autobianchi Y10. The Clio could look elegant, restrained with the correct options picked and the eye- searing choices avoided. It doesnt get cleaner than the 1st gen Renault Clio. Yes, there were more restrained colour choices than the ubiquitious mustard yellow, and not all were decorated with eyelash stickers around the headlights.
There´s rumours that VW wants to extend its CC line to toher platforms, so maybe Audi will use the TT moniker for their coupé / sportback iterations.
