You’re right, they’re not a countermeasure to firehopping, they’re a countermeasure to somebody being ahead of you in the ranks, which supercedes the firehopping, which only gives you minimal gains and isn’t the most feasible thing to do in a race against other people anyways.

All of the people who complain about it being excessively gross, that’s exactly the point! Whether you used to be okay with what they did in the previous games is irrelevant, Mortal Kombat has always been about pushing the boundaries of violence, and the fact that people in this day and age who are more desensitized

I never said there wasn’t an overlap, but they are not one and the same.

A bug as a thing is not the same as an exploit as a thing, and with your claim that it is a bug, it must then not be an exploit.

Let me ask you this, if this is not an exploit, then what do you consider to be an exploit?

And whatever you think is more likely doesn’t matter, because speculation is still speculation. Maximizing drift boost usage by hopping knowing that it only runs out when you aren’t drifting is an exploit not a bug, the same way snaking wasn’t a bug, people analyze how the mechanics of a game work and use them to

You can’t reasonably call me out for assumptions when you’re doing the same thing regardless of how much more likely you deem it to be. I can explain why firehopping works the way it does in the context of the game’s engine, can you explain what exactly makes it a bug?

A bug as it pertains to video games is more along the lines of an error in the code causing unintended things to happen, all firehopping is, is using the games engine the way it was made, as in exploiting it. They aren’t the same thing.

A countermeasure, yeah, you know, like items maybe? it’s not a bug, get over it.

It’s not a bug, it’s just an exploit of the way the game engine works

Not sure why you were expecting that either, Not only is it the first trailer, but E3 is exactly 2 months away, odds are they want to reveal the gameplay there.

Preeeetty much. There will obviously always be character tiers in fighting games and somebody has to be at the top, that’s how it’s always been and always will be.

k

You seem to have missed the point

Ten bucks says if they admitted you were right you wouldn’t ask for proof.

Having a controller that fits the game is much more important than one that fits an arcade machine, and regardless of what you would rather have for a controller, you have no way of knowing how well this works =P

Why is this not acceptable? It’s a strategy game, you should be observing how your enemies act during their turn so that you can appropriately react on yours, it’s not exactly something that should be a split second decision.

So then are the errors in your post intentional?

If you really think that, then you need to work on your pathing.

Battle Stadium D.O.N. is already a thing, so I can do without Goku in Smash. I’d much rather have Geno anyways, he’d fit better in the roster.
