People are going to tell you’d never be able to complete this with randoms, just like the raids (that people were soloing a week after their release).

I completely agree, 100% Which is why I find it completely unfair to use her grieving process to interfere with her mother’s.

Right. It’s dangerous, for both you and the people you surround yourself with, to assume your grief supersedes theirs in importance. Feel free to grieve but not at the expense of someone else’s closure.

I’ll star you for the sake of fair discussion, even though I’m alarmed that this many people need to be told not to be shitty to their widowed parent who is apparently just trying to get on with their life.

I’ve been through the same situation, I just didn’t feel the need to post it because I don’t think it’s really relevant.

I’ll star you even though you’re wrong.

Thanks for reading, though.

I wasn’t trying to make this into a pissing contest but dad died five years ago. He went into septic shock and was in a coma by the time I drove two hours home to the hospital. I was two hours away because I was performing as a pallbearer for my college roommate, who was killed in a car accident earlier that week. I

This was kind of embarrassing to read. This kind of (over)reaction I would expect from a teenager, but from someone in their late 20s it’s just awkward. Your mom is an adult, who made many sacrifices for your happiness, and when she tries to reconcile some joy back into her life you say terrible shit and act petulant

Maybe it’s just me, but because we have good memories of “old school” games it doesn’t mean the games were all that well designed. Things like sloppy game mechanics, no save points, repetitive AI, clunky UIs, and lack of direction were things that we dealt with because that was all the technology could allow for at

Had the tallboys at my Thursday night hangout for $4 which is, eh, okay. The beer was, eh, okay. I mean, the entire experience was pretty nondescript but, also, it has Eddie on it so would buy again.

I was trying to be pretty blase about this but, nope, that was awesome.

It’s such a dumb insult that it’s hilarious.

Weird, I have no idea what he is referring to then. There is a bill to potentially loosen conceal carry laws in Ohio and he was on advocating that it wouldn't make the state anymore dangerous. Maybe it was just in the state?

This was my point originally, people seemed to somehow construe it as I wanted more cops to be killed. It was more like that if it's safer than ever to be a cop, why are they killing more people?

I think it's more like it's safer to be a police officer more than anytime in history yet they're killing people on the streets at a higher rate than ever before. Officers deserve to be safe but their safety shouldn't come at the expense of the citizenry they signed up to protect.

This was the connection I was making. Everyone else seems to think I think it's sad that more cops aren't getting shot.

Yeah, no clue then. It was a local police officer from the Columbus PD talking about it, so dunno where he was pulling the stat from.

It all bothers me. I only listed the murders of blacks because I saw the stat earlier in the day and and the link in another browser.

One thing I found interesting in recent news (and by "interesting" I mean "depressing and soul crushing") is that, while 36 black people were killed last month, officers being killed in the line of duty is at all time low and, according to an NPR report I heard over the weekend, there has been 46+ days without an
