See, this one is confusing to me because while that tweet means something, their commercials over the years have said something vastly different.
Old timers is a joke. It's said on purpose. It's not getting it wrong. Because, generally, old timer's get the disease.
The commercials actually pronounce it reel a tor. It bugs me so much.
Sherbert and Sherbet are both actual words. Sherbet is the more common, but Sherbert (actual spelling) has been around for at least a couple hundred years. It's also uniquely an American thing.
Oh my god, thank you for this. My first name (Spyros) is constantly mangled in this exact same fashion, which is understandable based on what @spcagigas pointed out in his comment, but annoying as hell when roughly 99 out of 100 people pronounce my name wrong.
