You do pay more than your fair share. I hope to join you in that someday. I appreciate it. I don't know how much you make in a year. It's none of my business, but I doubt you make as much as say, Kanye West. I want these celebs and athletes to pay more. I value 1 fireman a lot more than 500 Kate Gosselins, but

There are plenty of bad tax breaks, bad subsidies, and bad spending to go around.

You are correct, of course.

You know it takes the Germans a long damn time to build a road, but by God they do a good job. They also work shorter weeks and drink beer at lunch.

Personally I don't a shit about either of them. They deserve each other. I was kind of hoping Tony George and Trump would die together in some freak accident. Now that the position is open they can get Charlie Sheen, Mel Gibson, Chris Brown, OJ Simpson or John Edwards to drive it. Like I said, I don't care anyway.

Any tax on commercial trucking is going to increase prices on almost everything. Here is my radical idea.

When a facepalm isn't enough

The job of the consumer is to reward the best manufacturer with sales, thereby increasing the incentive for the other companies to improve. When Nationalism gets in the way it actually hurts the company that is favored by reducing their incentive to innovate and improve. I can't think of a better example of this than

It actually looks good. Of course, because it's a Tilke design, it will be wide enough for 3 cars to race the an entire lap side by side.

Predictably, I think this video is awesome. Keyne's ideas are overused, he'd be physically ill if he heard the stuff his name is connected to. Most people invoking his name have never read his book.

Because it's a completely different situation. The Toyota thing had drug on for years. Toyota had denied the problem, blamed the problem on it's customers, and then ignored it until it reached a critical mass. Ford hasn't even denied a problem yet.

Well done, a worthy COTD if I ever saw one. Have a Smithwicks, since everyone else is probably going to get you a Guinness.

You are right. Sepang does have a decent schedule of events, but they are all international events. They have to compete with other tracks in Asia for races. There are already so many great tracks in the world that building one in a country that doesn't have a major racing series doesn't seem to make much sense to

Make this, make it affordable, and I will buy it. Do it Marchionne. DO IT! Before I get fed up waiting and just buy this.

Turkey should be a lesson to all these countries building tracks for the F1 circus. A track in North America, Japan, Australia, or Europe will always have races they can get in addition to F1. Turkey, India, and Malaysia are unlikely to get any other races. I've heard that the track in Istanbul sat unused all year

Well said. Have a beer!

+100 internets for you. You beat me to it.

2010 Mustang GT FTW

FIA GT1. Not the least known, but probably the least covered major series in the US. Maserati, Saleen, Corvette, Ford GT, 911s, Ferrari, Astons, and pretty much any other cool production based racecar you can think of.
