Single and already planning a car purchase based on future children with a future wife/girlfriend...that’s not how life works.

If I was dad.

That is such an adult thing to say. Congratulations, you are no longer an Adult-In-Training. You have upgraded to Professional Adult.

I’m an SUV-phobe so V90, but I agree with everything you said.

That is actually something we have in the works. Stay tuned.

3rd gear: So holding dealers to standards is a bad thing?

You. Gee. El. Why.

No, Stef, that’s a Gran Coupe.

All the (un)cool German kids are doing it these days.

100% this. There’s a reason I go to a Ford dealer 50 miles into rural Minnesota. My big city dealer burned out my wiring once whereas at the small town one the guy I bought my cars from still remembers my name and random facts about my family.

I grew up in a town with a low volume Chevy Poniac Cadillac dealer and I can tell you these low volume dealers give great service because they are your neighbors and want a good reputation making them change is not necessary

Same comment I left to Lightening Zone over on Oppo. My approximation of Johan de Nysschen’s reply to dealers:

Forgive me. (Graphic image)

Oh no!

Stop at drinking...

That naming scheme makes entirely too much sense for a German brand.

Typical jeep owners....ruining the outdoors for the rest of us.

They will more likely create an “EL-Class”. That way they can have an ELA, ELC, ELE, and ELS. Then just toss “Coupe, Touring, Cross Country, etc.” to designate the bodystyles. I think they are turning the “Benz” portion into meaning the traditional lineup and allowing Mercedes to be the all encompassing parent brand

Did you read past the title?
