I disagree with you on the Lexus since most people cross shopping between BMW, Land Rover, Lexus and Mercedes. The addition of the LFA, of the future baby LFA and of the RC F definitely bring Lexus into tier 1. I think Maserati is more of a boutique brand than an upper tier.

Hmmmm.... I don't know. A hybrid diesel that make a significant mpg improvement in the 40-60 range then yes but if it's only an improvement by 3-5 mpg over the non-hybrid then why bother. When a buyer can afford a 59-100+K SUV, gas is their least worry.

I do not see any similarity between NSX AND R8. The NSX still draw some of its characteristic from the previous generation.
