I think more to the point, movie theaters are opening up again and they don’t want to compete with that. Especially in the next month or so when actually blockbusters start hitting the theater and large number of vaccinated people are willing to go out to see them.

It seems the commenter I was alluding to, Dino Ironbody, has found this thread. I wouldn’t bother engaging with him because he’ll just barrage you with leading questions seeming to justify Rowling’s bigotry while claiming he doesn’t support it.

I think there are separate rules for movies and television, especially back when going to movie theaters was a thing.

The sad thing is, if we had competent government & a significant majority of Americans could exercise basic human empathy, they would’ve been right.
