Not that I see. Nope.
Not that I see. Nope.
The transition to the controls of my Model 3 has been the easiest for me of any vehicle I have owned. Sure, I cannot reach over by memory and find the dial to turn up the volume, I use the left scroll wheel instead. I cannot find a knob to turn the heat up or down, I just glance over to swipe right or left to adjust…
No one. And I worked on performance cars for the better part of a decade. An A/T in sport mode on twisties is much better than 95% of “good” manual drivers can even try to eclipse, plus it keeps both hands on the wheel.
I see it as the opposite. With no spinning dials in front of me, it’s just me, a steering wheel and my instant torque pedal. It’s much more visceral to me, I press the pedal and I’m instantly gratified with a response. It’s instant feedback to my inputs.
Not more distracting than this
You’re asking for an app, not a manual transmission. And you should know by now that your in the extreme minority (tenths to hundredths of a percent), so no OEM would invest anything into this development time/cost.
Longtime “car guy” here. Owned/own/working on: 79 Mercury Capri RS Turbo, Nitrous’d 88 Integra, Turbo 96 Integra GSR, 02 WRX, 06 EVO 9, 08 Lexus ISF, 96 Land Cruiser, 91 RT4WD Civic, ‘12 Supercharged Tundra and now a Model 3 Performance.
Like the guy who wants a manual EV. Manual transmissions make no sense with electric motors. Keep your brown diesel wagon if you want a manual.
This one gave me cancer, aids, and smallpox.
100% agreement. I am on the road commuting 3 hours a day and it seems 75% of people I look at in traffic are on there phone or doing something other than driving. This can be at 65 mph, or 5 mph, doesn’t make a damn bit of difference. The number of downed motorcycles or accidents I have witnessed is ridiculous.
$13,000 can get you this at the Indian Dealer. Probaby not a good first bike. But I stared on a $500 CL Honda 700 and now (6) years later I ride a $32,000, 900lb, 1800cc, Full Dresser. It does not take long to work your way up. Good luck if you decide to get in.
Your whole portfolio is comprised of expensive bikes with nothing unique about them, except for one new electric bike
My friend told me that the first lesson he was given by the guy who taught him how to ride was to bring a pipe with you to pound on the car trying to run you off the road by not paying attention during a lane change.
With a name like hoser you should! Ever seen us play hockey? Kinda like that. Seriously though I’m kinda laughing inside as if you see a car with a “don’t buy foreign” sticker of some sort on it 99% chance it will be a GM and now GM is fucking those people hard!!! You want to buy Canadian buy a Honda or Toyota (both…
I’ve been hit 3 times. Every time, got the leg up, took most of it on the engine guard (1980 Honda CB900c , the one with the second gearshift for High/Low, loved that bike)
Harley’s biggest fan base voted for the policies that are helping to kill it and I could not be lol’ing any harder.
“I’m not owned! I’m not owned!” *brub brub brub brub brub*
Count how many times you drive away without remembering to unplug.
Does it feel like an EV from the ground up like a Tesla or BMW i-car, or feel like an ICE car converted to EV, like almost every other EV that shares a platform with its ICE sibling?
Porsche has been smug for longer than Tesla has existed, so there’s that.
