That is their intent it appears but if you design the product to work as a pair of immersive video glasses while developers are able to work on titles to incorporate the other VR/3D capabilities it is more likely to gain a foothold. If this were compatible with major gaming consoles (not even in a 3d VR sense but just as a viewing screen) initially they probably would have raised 10x the amount they did. It'll be interesting to see if this ever takes off with big AAA developers.

I bought a Vita and 10 games (Including Black Ops, Assassins Creed, Need For Speed Most Wanted, Uncharted......). This article very clearly mirrors my exact opinion of the Vita, and why I just sold it yesterday.

Tell this to my wife sitting next to me when she wants to watch TV and chat while i'm on the Xbox. One of us isn't going to be happy......... Now on the Wii U I just switch to the gamepad display and she can watch whatever the heck she wants, and we can chat while we both keep entertained and wind down from chasing…

I've in fact played all of those and still retain the same opinion. Seems as though you simply have a narrow mind or understanding of tactics.

4 days in, no problems at all, I use the hell out of the gamepad. It's amazing being able to play while my wife watches tv! I just wish Nintendo could match the Xbox live seamless ness when wanting to play with friends

I think singularity is far more likely. Why have it be a game when anything can be your reality. Upload your consciousness to the cloud and live out all your fantasies forever. All you have to do is leave your earthly body behind.

I wouldn't hit any of them let alone idolize them.

Found out in person that the online store stock notifiers (Walmart, Target, Best Buy) include pre-ordered stock. So they may have a stock of them but they have all been pre ordered.
