Locks don’t lock anything.
Locks don’t lock anything.
People suck...It’s definitely not in the best taste, but it’s obviously not meant as an offensive piece of art. I know it’s an advertisement, but it seems to be quite the art installation, that is an extension of the TV show. Where else would you be able to step into a Nazi American world? Seems pretty cool to me.
I don't lock my phone, and after having lost my phone, I'm glad I don't lock it. When I was in Canada, I lost my phone on a bus. Called it from someone elses phone for awhile, no answer. After maybe 15min, someone called back from my phone. We arranged a meet up and I got my phone back. Had my phone had a lock on…
Pan handlers in at least Chicago and NY will just go between the trains via the emergency doors at the front and back of each car. They don't bother getting off and back on at each stop.
Well...It's definitely film...however...as far as I know, no one makes Nitrate film anymore...all film today is "Safety Film" which it's basically plastic. I just burned some 35mm film I had, and some 16mm motion picture film...and while they both caught fire, the melted more than they burned...so I don't know why…
That's natural scrolling...but that ain't natural (grumble grumble grumble...)
I don't know what's so "natural" about natural scrolling. Maybe I'm just hardwired from the days before touch screens, but it's counter intuitive to mean. On a touch screen, you are literally PUSHING the screen up, so it makes perfect sense. With a trackpad or scroll wheel, you're not physically manipulating the…
I was going to write something really lengthy giving you break downs about the different aspects of production and post production workflow, but I think it was too much.
I think it's still the case, but when you're working on a large scale film like Star Wars, film is actually cheaper than shooting digital.
well...High speed PHOTOGRAPHY had been around before Muybridge. Cameras and film that were able to expose an image at a fraction of a second had to be developed before Muybridge could photograph the horse. Muybridge just broke ground for high speed moving image, and really all of moving image for that matter. He…
I know, but my point is you don't need cell signals for this thing to work.
That's why the next time I need a new computer, I'm going to build a Hackintosh. I'm getting really tired of how Apple is treating it's hardware...and software for that matter. I'm gonna build my own Mac, and I'm keeping Snow Leopard and my FCP7.
Radio waves reach much farther than cell signals. You can usually pick up radio stations in the middle of nowhere. AM signals are even strong than FM signals. I don't really know anything about satellite signals, but maybe those could be used too.
Is there anything in the plans for an emergency shut down? What would happen if for some reason a car stopped in the tube. If there were a car racing down the tube behind it, what kind of emergency breaking system would it use? Or is this a one car at a time type system since a trip is only 30min long?
Ummm...A friend of mine's dad sang "Happy Birthday" into either Shazam or Soundhound, and it totally recognized it as happy birthday...Pretty sure they work with live music...
...the 2013 compilation made by Vine themselves is way better
At least in my experience, Key Set PA is completely different from a 2nd 2nd. 2nd 2nds usually direct extras. If there's so many extras that the AD can't do it, then a 2nd 2nd takes care of it. There can be multiple 2nd 2nds on a set. Look at movies that have boat loads of extras, you'll see boat loads of 2nd 2nds…
Grips don't touch electrical devices. That's for the electricians. They do everything that leads up to the head of the light. So they'll set up stands, but they can't touch the lights.
It looks like it's heavily inspired by "Jane" from the Ender's Game series, the AI in Speaker of the Dead and Xenocide.
Oh also, this is nothing new...this has been going since the invention of photography...
