They asked if you wanted to change a lot of them... but take a guess at how many people used the express settings, and the ones who didn’t actually looked and uncheck the boxes instead of just hitting agree and getting on with the install.

I think this is a little different. Normally you are corret, if something if free, you are the product. (like anything Google) but I don’t think that is the case here. Windows 10 isn’t free. It costs 120$! It only a free upgrade. For the first year. I think all they are trying to do there is avoid 7 turning into…
As much as I’d prefer these things to be Opt in not Opt out.. I can’t really blame them for making it that way. A lot of that data is necessary for Microsoft to really improve and fix their product, and if they made it Opt in they wouldn’t get anywhere near as much data as they need (simply because nobody knows/thinks…
Just replying to myself cause I can’t edit, here’s the stuff she’s done for LH; apparently done in an hour or so. Link
You are correct. I was trying to figure out who that was. But in this case there is an attribution at the bottom says its was done by Tina Mailhot-Roberge that I was to blind to see.
Naturally, Arai is boasting about the normal stuff on the Corsair X: increased airflow, an anti-microbial liner, more chin space for Jay Leno, and a new composite material that’s a stronger combination of synthetic fibers and resin and makes the helmet 30 percent lighter. (If you want a thorough breakdown of all the…
Oh look there is an attribution, guess that was added in after words OR far more likely I was just dumb and didn’t see it.
Off topic, but who makes these top images? Whoever they are, props to them, they do really good work.
Yeah you’ll probably want to turn it on, but then pick the setting below it where it says my local network only. That way you only download whats needed once and share with your LAN, rather than disabling it completely.
He probably deploying it to computers to test it or people who are tech savvy enough not to have a heart attack when the UI is different.
Actually I’m quite liking Windows 10. I don’t feel it’s a downgrade by any means. No major problems with the UI (some small changes but nothing like 8) but has the under the hood improvements 8 had. Except the stupid hibernate/power off thing. Screw that.
If its anything like old version of windows (which I honestly have no idea if that would be the case) then you can probably upgrade to home for free then take advantage on an windows anytime upgrade or something like that.
I agree, I see no problems with that. NASA should hire people like us to figure this stuff out.
Thats pretty awesome actually. But there are still issues with it. For one they have to implement a lot of redundancy to prevent data loss, which is gonna cut heavily into bandwidth. (It would take a full hour to learn about and resend bad data (20 there, 20back to hear it didn’t work, and another 20 out again. but if…
While that would work, getting data to mars isn’t exactly easy. Its a long long way.
They only have so much bandwidth, wasting it on Earth blogs and news isn’t as important as system health, people health, comms to friends and family, etc.
I’d love it, until I tried to lean into a turn because I think I’m really there and fall off. (I hope they remember to account for that...)
Ahh yes right at the time Microsoft start pushing out Skype for Desktop though windows update. So many people trying to sign into Skype for Business with their personal accounts or Skype for Desktop with their work accounts and ugh.
I also found Pichu before Pikachu every time.
If you have Google Voice + Hangouts then yes. Otherwise no keep using pushbullet.
