I get that they are trying to drum up excitement without much investment in actual credentials, but are marketers blind? Just look at Mercedes. They are dominant in F1 right now and they have a brand history that predates dinosaurs. BMW dominated F1 in years past, and they are a top performer in DTM and other

About the GM recall:

Agreed. Content is great but a bit too long to enjoy without setting aside a larger chunk of time than I have available.

This is why I come to Jalopnik.

The key emphasis here is on the S52. Not a snowballs chance in hell that my starbucks millenial pennies will ever amount to an S54 M Coupe.

Damn you guys and all this talk about the Fiesta ST! After holding myself off from buying one when they came out, I am back in regular communication with my Ford salesperson to talk about incentives.

Now might be a great time to buy one of their cars, if you're in the market for one. (Or if you've read too many Fiesta ST reviews and are overwhelmed with temptation.)

This is everything that is right with antique car culture right now. The craftsmanship is exquisite, with just enough "no fucks given" attitude without being too cliche.

That color makes a HUGE difference on this car. Seeing the red FT-1 in person, I was impressed, but I didn't *want* the car as much as I thought I should. That dark grey metallic is everything that is right with modern paint colors.

Klingerman is now ahead of Vettel, I will be keeping that window open all day.

After all the advice you give, you would still buy a new car?

Love the 2002. I own an E30 myself.

Looks like an extended pathfinder to my untrained eyes.

I own a Volvo and an E30, and I just think the "old BMW" nostalgia is an easy bandwagon to jump on. The E30 was made in a time of homologation. Those rules have all but disappeared, which isn't the end of the world, but it was a time and place kinda thing. That's what makes the E30 special. I don't want another

Confused, good looking, and soft is what sells. Most people buying a $60k+ car don't want a race-car-ride to rattle their bones out. Just be glad that BMW sees enough of a business case to even make hi-po versions of their regular cars, because I'm sure the hi-po business case could not be made on enthusiast demand

So you mean my crapbox-econowheels car that I have already HAS a flexibly extendible luggage compartment with the space saving design that guarantees distinctive BMW dynamics and agility?!?!?!?!
