Actually the emissions regulation that our government uses makes them less money than in Europe where the government makes the taxes unbelievably high on fuel that consumers have no choice but to buy more fuel efficient vehicles.

I struggle with this existential dilemma every day. Thanks for putting it into words.

Aside from the fact that developing a new engine architecture is one expensive proposition. I'm curious if they have any European engines that would be the right size for this truck. Also, the diesel options usually cost more money in an American market that is highly sticker price sensitive versus cost of fuel

The problem is they made something similar but gave it a horrible Acura Patented Nose Job And Butt Droop. Then it didn't sell. Now they have to give them away free with purchase of TL right alongside the ZDX.

But isn't a Lamborghini supposed to be immature? I thought that was why you bought one over an Aston.

As a longtime Ohioan, I approve this message. You would realize how wonderful ohio was if you weren't so conditioned to living in the garbage heap called _ichigan.

I came to post this

The same could be said for nearly any newer mass-market economy car though, and you wouldn't have paid for that boat-anchor battery pack that requires replacing at some point.

How is this not a top ten list? "Top ten cheapest enthusiast cars rated by $/mile of ownership."

This was not clear in the article. I also thought they meant they were angry that new employees got paid less in an absolute scale. But then again, I'm an engineer, and we aren't always good at reading and stuff.

The ATS starting price is higher than the 320i, try again.

How idealist of you. Cars cost money, and car manufacturers decide how much money they think people will pay for their cars. Subaru trades performance and AWD for other areas (interior) so they don't have to ask for as much money from the customers who are looking for a performance or AWD bang-for-buck deal. This

From Subaru:

Why would you have expectations from the interior of a Subaru?

They aren't selling new subarus to you, they are trying to win mainstream customers and they are doing it quite well.

That could be three manual cars....

Blah blah blah I don't drive manuals because other cars exist blah blah blah.

BOOOOOORRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGG.

They actually give out SRXs now, in pink obv., since those better hold a bag full of soccer balls.

We're the same age, that's pretty cool that you've made it in your industry pretty well so far.
