This x1000. We can sit and debate all day but if the brake check was unprovoked then the RR driver was 100% right in his actions.

Never seen the hive mind from Harley riders? Have you been to a bike night where 100+ people drink all night then climb on their bikes for a ride home? I am NOT advocating that the riders in this video were in the right, just saying that stupidity lies across all segments of society.
Unless the "brake check" was completely unprovoked, which seems unlikely, the driver of the RR did something that pissed someone off. I personally wouldn't go around trying to piss off a group of hundreds of bikers acting like idiots, as I have stated numerous times.
I also think some footage of what may have happened before the whole brake check incident would be telling. I've been around punks and thugs before and typically there is no trouble if you do your best to stay away and don't provoke them.
Defensive driving? Nothing about his driving appeared to be defensive to me, unless your definition of "defense" is "a good offense".
If you watch the video again and turn on the audio, you'll hear the RR honking. Provoking people acting reckless is always a good idea...
I would recommend to you that you NOT HONK at bikers who are acting like that. That's like watching an alligator hiss and snarl and everything and then you go and poke it with a stick. In this case, both parties acted stupid, and the bikers were very clear on their intent to act like wreckless fugitives. Any person…
Don't care. If I saw hundreds of bikers in my rearview mirror acting like total fucktards, the first thing to do is to slow down and move over, get out of their way and let them self destruct. The guy on the bike went to brake check him for a reason...DON'T GIVE STUPID PEOPLE REASONS! For his arrogance he put his…
I ride too and I completely disagree. If he would have not hit the biker in the first place and just let those squids ride to their own death he would have saved himself and his family from a heap-ton of DANGER and TROUBLE. He acted stupid, probably wasn't paying attention when he got cut-off, and then ran over some…
I always wondered if they would consolidate the performance lines, but it seems that the lineup has only grown...now we have SHO, SVT, ST, RS, and Shelby. Pick one? Can anyone explain why they need so many performance marks?
I'm going to agree with the Ford guy on this one. Ford is making some attractive cars these days in some of the most boring and staid segments. Also, they need to tweak the Mustang formula a bit to compete with the Toyobaru-type cars, i.e. smaller, lighter, and more efficient sportcars.
It's not exactly to draw ideas. A lot of it has to do with finding out what design criteria competitive companies are using, or what is commonly held as highly secretive information. If GM is designing their cars under a certain criteria which drives a certain cost, but Ford has a more relaxed criteria which allows…
How exactly do you "kill the Porsche name"? If anything, they have brought the Posche name into more households than ever before, allowing them to pump more money into the company and make better cars.
This. If the looks are too loud for someone, I shuffle them over to the Golf or JSW. I try to recommend cars from companies that also make cars that I would purchase for me, so Mazda is the first thing I go to (Also Hyundai, Toyobaru, Ford, Volkswagen, Cadillac). Not many people I know want a Volvo, mainly because…
This is the first fact-based argument I have heard regarding the tracking, so thank you. I would offer the counter-point the snapshot is a 6 month affair, which I presume Progressive thinks is long enough to weed out any people trying to fake their horrible driving. Maybe they are just trying to ease us into it like…
I would consider myself a safe driver, not a wreck since i was in my early 20s (was a delivery driver and people liked to hit me) and not a speeding ticket since my teens. The problem is, I live in the midwestern spraawl of Chicago suburbs. This means I drive, not a ton, but just enough that progressive is thumbing…
I take it you haven't driven a GM product lately. They take the "belt line" height wars to a new level. There is no reason cars like the Cobalt should have such terrible visibility. I get the whole Camaro "slit windshield" design thing, but a Cobalt? The whole car slopes upward culminating at the trunk, so the…
I drive the two back to back on two separate occasions. The Fiesta has two major differences: a huge decrease in torque steer and a much smaller amount of interior space. I preferred the fiesta though due to the fact that it feels lighter and I preferred the steering wheel and seats in the fiesta.
I thought exactly the opposite after driving the Fiesta on an autocross course and the street. If I was only using the car for the track, I think it would be a well suited option. For the street, things like interior quality, stereo, space, and passing power all come into play; that is precisely where the Fiesta…
