@Relyt: I agree. However, I think it only marks the beginning of the end of Mac OS X's use for a very small subset of people. Apple is marketing this for the average, non-computer savvy person. Personally I will probably not be using OS X anymore. However, I can see how and why it will attract more people to use

@baneyu: Very true. Let me revise my original comment:

I refuse to allow the government to slow our technological advances. It is simply preposterous.

@greytone: That's from the movie pi right? I love that movie.

Yes, the guy was absolutely wrong for sending an underage girl those pics. However, the father's over-reaction can not be justified. It is understandable that the father would be angry, and possible press charges. Torture, however, is not understandable. I don't care how many pics the guy sent or how young the

@Jay Phelps: When I first started watching, I watched the whole first season + half of the second season without sleeping or doing anything else besides eating. I stopped watching after the second season.

I spent 2 minutes trying to click the play button for the video before I realized I was clicking the picture of the youtube video...

It sounds like in the video they made it to 262 knots which is just barely above 300mi/h. I'd be mad if they stopped at 299.2mi/h.

It would have been cooler if they had used an integrated HTML 5 video instead of simply embedding a YouTube video.

That is amazing. As others have already said, it looks a lot like a movie set, or a scene out of a video game.

@Who's Soap?: No correction to the article is needed. I just wanted to make sure that people interpreted the article correctly. The rainbow picture has artificial color, as do most astronomy pictures. After all, looking at a picture that shows a gold color fading into red isn't nearly as exciting as a rainbow!

Just a quick FYI, 689nm is on the verge of human vision; it looks like a very deep red.

When I first read the title and saw the picture, I thought it was going to be one of those cans where when it's opened, a bunch of springs pop out to scare you.

I don't eat chicken nuggets that often, but if they kept them pink I might.
