The most recent episode of Lost Girl (5.8) featured the main characters consuming a drink in which one of the featured ingredients were the eyes plucked from oracles (although it was not clear to me if the drink was alcoholic). Drinking it allowed the protagonist to for-see the near future.

I just use my alarm and set my alarm about 5-10 minutes before I'm supposed to arrive at my stop. I know exactly how long it takes for the train/bus to reach my destination when I'm commuting to work (there's not much variation except on unusually traffic-y days). I've never been late using my phone's alarm.
