general knowledge is all you need. videogames won’t have actual scars like that, especially when they’re hidden behind a mask. if this were an animated movie, then yes they would have real scars, but only if you were to see the character from close up.

that’s just general knowledge when it come to making the model. The whole body would be on a single map. A high poly version was made, then they made a low poly version. with normal maps they’d take the look of the high poly version and bake it onto the low poly.

that’s just a texture map. that was made when they textured the rest of the body’s UV’s. would’ve been made in like 5 minutes. much faster than re modeling and uving a new head.

Why would they have dropped the ball with a third party character? Especially when you’re absolutely never supposed to see it. They had years to work on MKX and the 25 official characters.

What it looks like is they used the base model that’s used in the x-rays. Which is completely reasonable. Do you actually expect them to re-model/re-rig/re-animate everything? That’s completely unreasonable. You’re not even supposed to see under there.

During x-rays for the most part, it seems as if they modified a base model for the male faces. Just a little though, as you can’t really tell who’s who when the skin is off. They probably just used the base model as jasons actual face. You could never tell the difference, since there’s a mask hiding it.

To all the assholes who are saying Netherrealm messed up... NO THEY DIDN’T. You’re not supposed to see that. It’s the EXACT same argument if you were to say “rockstar, you suck because if I were to glitch into a building or under the map I don’t see walls or streets, I can see right through them”. see how stupid you…

My friend had never played any SH game before. We’re currently on day 3 of playing SH 2 on the 360 (I have the HD collection). We’ll be finishing it today, then starting part 3. Since we don’t have a ps4 and I doubt SH The Room is on PS4 Now, we’ll be emulating that game.
