It seems like it would work from a common sense perspective. My mental status benefits from as much light as I can get without reduction from sunglasses.

Clear polycarbonate lenses block UV. Wouldn’t that be better than sunglasses? Other than glare and comfort. But for pure UV minimization, your pupils are contracted, minimizing the light entering the eye. The polycarbonate is still blocking the UV.

Sounds correct for a lot of people here. I actually hate driving (other than track or empty canyon roads).  I’m really here for the tech of cars.

yeah, that’s definitely part of it. There’s also a psychological factor where you don’t care much about a $1000 option on a $40K car but if you looked at buying a standalone device for $500, you’d spend a lot of decision time. Then you invest way more time and effort on spending $5 vs 28 cents.

Not bad. And true. But I suspect there may be a caveman psychology answer.

That is a rational answer.  Why does paying $5 total for a bolt drive me more nuts than the long drive?

I think the entire length of that ramp is a gravel pit. An 80K lb tractor-trailer is stuck - hence the $4-10K needed to get it out. The rig is not coming out just by putting it in reverse.

Wolf-dog at a sanctuary. Very sweet and loves human contact. His mate’s behavior is more wolf-like; won’t come near when sanctuary volunteers enter their habitat.

That actually may have been a better result for the community at large, if not for the old lady. A car blocking everyone may have resulted in the police being called. If not for this incident but perhaps over multiple incidents, either the authorities or her family may realize that she should not be driving.
