Plenty of weird things. Drug deals, people mooning the camera, people trying to scramble at the last moment to get on the camera.

A lot of the time. Sometimes it makes my job harder and it gets annoying. At first it was funny, but other times I'm not in the mood.

It is kinda sketchy. I've had people bang on the windows and such. I've seen some drug deals go down. I've had rocks thrown at the windows.

Yep. A lot. It is also very prone to windy conditions as well. Going over bridges is tough, it makes the car a little harder to steer.

1. Not sure, I guess either they don't know what it is or are happy to see it.

Just minor honking and such, nothing serious.

Probably not. The places that get put on the map are places that plenty of people search for and request streetview for. It's all an algorithm, not a person throwing a dart on a map.

Yes.

Usually I go the speed limit, otherwise I try to slow it to 35-40 MPH. I've found that it seems to be a sweet-spot at that speed.

I'm not entirely sure. That planning is all done higher-up and takes some time.

For the most part, it does the censoring itself. I've noticed that besides license plates, phone numbers and the like are blurred too. Sometimes we have to review the images and do manual touchups of faces if the camera didn't sense them.

The 2 question-marked faces on the bottom right for sure.

It gets annoying sometimes, especially if they do something like moon the camera or get in my way. If it is something serious, sometimes I have to delete that area and drive back later that day to re-capture it.

Sometimes combating the grind. Sure, I see new places and such, but at the same time, I'm sitting in a car driving for the whole day. Gets kinda boring sometimes.

No set path. The only time I'll ever do the same road again is if there was a mistake, such as bird crap on the camera or the camera didn't adjust the white balance correctly, etc...

Usually it depends on the quota for the day. Normally, with 2 breaks and counting for traffic and boring areas...as well as any possible unexpected captures...around 9-3 or so.

Hi Pat! As I am one of the longer-employed members here at the company, I do have a tad more leeway to do things. There's really no schedule. Just get x amount of data caches per day, with some little input from higher-ups such as what roads are a MUST. Otherwise, it's almost up to me.

Currently an Impreza. I started out with a Nissan minivan when they were switching up the fleet. I did drive a Santa Fe for a bit after the van suffered a small fender bender. Love the Impreza.

I've been summoned.
