I liked Flow a lot, since it was fun to just grab the boats with the ultrahand and yank it out from under them so they drown. The Hunt was the first and toughest of those shrines for me.

“The biggest IP of all time,” god that’s depressing.
“___________, Gamers React Poorly”
I remember the G.I. Joe/Transformers 4-issue comic that came out in the 80s and the first issue I think had a cover where Bumblebee is just getting stitched with machine gun fire from the Joes. Something about that really burrowed into my kid brain and made me feel unpleasant.
It is weird. This article is also weird, since it’s taking a few tweets and using those to indicate that everyone hated the Mario movie as much as Kotaku did. In general, people seemed fine with the movie and it did was it was meant to do, entertain children.
Yeah, I have way too many issues with design decisions made in DBD to find that game enjoyable, even with Nicolas Cage coming in as a survivor. Friday the 13th on the other hand was pretty fun, and it just hurts more knowing that development was suspended just as they were about to release Jason X content.
I thought I must be insane. Or they somehow missed a typo in their actual headline.
I bet falling into a sinkhole would get him some viewers.
He’s also probably unfortunately right in that it wouldn’t be a bombshell news report. People would call it a liberal hoax, then something stupid would happen with the Kardashians or Vanderpump Rules, and aliens would immediately just get mulched up in the 24-hour news cycle like everything else that isn’t red meat.
Yeah, it was frustrating. They just kept screwing with the balance because this one guy did this improbable move this one time in some tournament somewhere, whoops better cut Widowmaker’s non-headshot damage in half and make Reaper even more of a pain in the ass. I guess at least Diablo doesn’t have an “esports” scene…
That’s what killed Overwatch for me. Just buffs and nerfs patch after patch for the characters that seemed to need them the least. Mercy wasn’t even fun to play anymore a few years in.
“booktok famous”
I think it just happens, because things catch on when the internet is involved. Remember, the Babadook was a gay icon a few years back.
The look on Geoff Keighley’s face when the other person in the interview said that Mass Effect was a “rape simulator” was priceless.
More than one. I’ve done at least two of those so far. First one (with the buildable tanks) was harder.
Fox News and being angry at video games, a long-standing tradition.
No, it’s the one where you have to attach a wheeled tile to a section of bridge and have it drive across lava and pull the bridge taut. It’s extremely picky about the attachment point and the trajectory.
This one and Wheeled Wonders gave me the most trouble so far. It didn’t occur to me for a while to use a third panel in the middle, so I kept listing to one side and falling off. Wheeled Wonders is just really finicky.
You can’t take out Zonai capsules in a shrine, though. You have to work with what they give you, but you can do whatever you want with what they give you.
Eh, I might have said that ten years ago, and it’s dumber than most, but the rest of the world is getting pretty stupid too.
