I'm surprised they ate at all, what with all the thirstiness.

Everything about this “coupling” screams bad idea. Each self-enamored, thirsty, excessively affected half of the “couple” brings out and underscores all the reasons to loathe the other. And at least in Hiddleston’s case, a lot of people used to be oblivious to a lot of those reasons.
Miss Brahms?! Mr. Rumbold deserves an earful about this and I am unanimous in that. (Sorry, had to do it. Your handle reminded me that this wonderful show exists and you made my day).
Also useful to lawyers and judges when arguing for the constitutionality of such legislation.
This is how to lead if you're a Democrat, though. Introduce the legislation - even/especially legislation you know won't pass despite being received favorably by the voting public - and use it to bludgeon the Republicans who kept it from becoming reality. It would be nice to see the Democrats take a similar approach…
You’re clearly aware of and committed to your daughter’s emotional wellbeing, though. There’s no changing the past, but your daughter is going to have a great childhood/early adulthood and entire lifetime with you. So... once she’s older, get ready to celebrate two Mother’s Days is what I’m saying.
In my mind, there is and will only be one President Clinton, and her name is Hillary. She was the only member of the ‘90s Clinton Administration who didn’t roll over to the GOP at the earliest possible convenience, and she's one of a slim minority who didn't get caught with her pants down.
Either way, I'm going to start referring to Hiddleston as "Taylor Swift's Thing" from now on.
Not going to lie. I didn’t believe Heard at first due to a number of blind items about her drugging and exploiting him financially. I’m still open to the possibility that she enabled him to spend most of the marriage drugged out of his mind. And that she didn’t enter the marriage with the noblest of intentions and…
Tegan and Sara are opening for ICP is how I read it.
Here’s where I see sexism the most: Clinton is a woman of ideas. Always has been. I didn’t agree with her ideas as much as Bernie’s, but she’s a serious thinker with many positions and philosophies that come from a place of devoted public service and beg critical engagement. And she has a lot of excellent ideas that I…
I just think it's funny that "4 more years of Obama" isn't considered a ringing endorsement of Hillary. Thanks for the good PR, Trump.
Also Russell’s screenplay would revolve around a male venture capitalist protagonist with Holmes being consigned to the role of an ingénue whose refreshing recklessness enables the VP to pursue his dream of seasteading and preaching the Dark Enlightenment gospel via twitter. OTOH, this would get all the Oscar noms.
You misread the post. Note the “for” in the “...for the little guy” sentence. I was talking about causes that are important to progressives, who care FOR the many people who fall between through the cracks of society. I do spend much of my career advocating for these people and their communities, whether or not you…
This smells like a “My Mom Seriously Thinks She Has A Shot At Veep And Told Me To Do This For The Fundie Vote” marriage. (With some parallels to other blinds I’ve read about Ivanka and Kushner’s marriage collapsing).
Parents who do this to their children should be sent to a straight-to-gay conversion camp. Just so they can bond with their kids about the conversion experience. I want to start this camp. Please help me come up with a program of activities to disabuse these wayward breeders of their heterosexuality.
"And I live in Brooklyn! In East Williamsburg!! There were totally some black people in my building at some point."
Not to sound like a broken record (this is probably my 1000th Jez post to this effect), but I'd like to hear more about the agencies. What is their composition? What are their diversity initiatives (if any)? The Big 4 agencies are the industry gatekeepers and little is ever written about them.
I’m working on two (soon to be three) downticket campaigns right now and have been active on downticket campaigns since college. The problem is that these candidates are the most vulnerable to losing their seats and will remain so until there is meaningful campaign finance reform at the federal level. They’re targeted…
I've suspected this for a while. November will be a sad month down at the tomato patch.
