@puffa469: I actually just picked it up this morning, after this article reminded me of his Daily Show appearance (I linked it below), and reminded me I meant to buy it even back then :P

@dragon83: The word is generally used to describe someone who loves all the pop culture aspects of Japan (i.e. Anime, music, technology, fashion, etc.), while ignoring perceived negatives of the culture. The -phile suffix generally notes an "unnatural attraction" (dictionary's words) to something :)

I remember when he was on The Daily Show last year, too. Quite interesting stuff!

@Kobun: Yeah, that's the big problem with it. I started playing it when I would just log on to Facebook, check messages, go in and spend 5 minutes basically watering my virtual garden, no biggie. Then they started adding all this extra crap and that's when the notification floods started. Then even doing the 5 minutes

Like many others, one of the first things I'd heard about Champloo was "The music totally makes the show", even before I knew what the show was about. I just heard about this funky juxtaposition of hip-hop with samurai era visuals, at that alone was enough to get me to start watching, and the music certainly didn't

@potches: I know plenty of people, myself included, have an appreciation for the effort that goes into creating a game world. Not even just the 3D construction these days, but the painted backdrops, what goes into designing a character, the thought behind it. I really like this insight, especially as a fellow artist

@tenken: Agreed, I'd drop $40-$50 on decent sized art books for many Square games. Just imagining an Udon styled book full of character design sketches and promo art and HQ art and... *drool*

I won't lie. My first reaction to the headline + picture was "Ah yes, dealing with obnoxious kids on multiplayer" :P

I'd take just being able to see Tali's face, I'm sure as much as most would like to see Miranda's essentials :P

More like See-Through-PO

@YoungZer0: Actually, Conrad carried over correctly in my game. I, like you, was kind to him. I met up with him in ME2 and he was trying to emulate me because I'd inspired him :P

@CynicalNinja: I'm definitely looking forward to more Dragon Age, but my other long-awaited title is one week further away, Just Cause 2. I had to cut myself off of the demo, lest I do everything there is possible to do (which I think is actually impossible! ;P)

@Zinger314: Same here, I thought it was a re-dressed G-Man :P I've seen those characters doing the oddest crap, that seeing them in this scenario wouldn't phase me in the slightest

@Ueziel: I'm with ya, having a quite enjoyable time thus far! (just hopped off a 5 hour FFXIII mini-marathon :P)

I have been having a stupidly fun time with this demo. You'd think I'd tire of grappeling innocent motorists off of their scooters onto passing by vehicles... but I don't! :)
