No they became that because of unending drug crime by violent criminals who see violence as stock in trade in urban environments that have the strongest gun control laws in the country. Getting killed by a law abiding citizen’s AR is less likely than getting killed by wild pigs.

You’re more likely to be hit by lightning than killed by an AR but that doesn’t stop people from wanting to ban them. It seems to me that if anti gun folks wish to press on ARs because of rare mass shootings, pro gun people can push back with people like Eli Dicken.

A CPR class isn’t going to do much for a mugger.

I was working for a non profit that was committed to getting the vote out in black neighborhoods in the Pittsburgh suburbs when two pit bulls burst from their house and charged me on the sidewalk full speed. Now thankfully they were friendly, because if they hadn’t been I

Literally all the data I have seen shows that the Chicago electorate was fine with a progressive mayor— they didn’t trust Lightfoot to do anything about crime. One of the key issues was that Lightfoot was the ONLY candidate in the field of 8 who would not fire police superintendent David Brown.

Draw the FOP into open war after your predecessor was ousted largely because she oversaw the deadliest year in Chicago in 25 years? Don’t know if that’s tactically sound.

DON’T: Abuse your Yelp review privileges.

Guys, you can’t put concepts on this list. Concepts, by definition, are experiments not finished products that companies are asking money for. There’s zero embarrassment in an ugly concept because you’re trying out new design...concepts.

Look I 100% think the cops were wrong there, I just thought it was worth pointing out that tactically that response to “I have a gun” was informed by more than a random traffic stop. Not defending them at all.

The CLASSIC racism that handed a movie about a Chinese family literally every award it could.

That wasn’t a random traffic stop though, the cops (who I do not side with) were responding to a vehicle that fit the description for armed robbery and when he told them “I have a gun” it was interpreted incorrectly.

Except sovereign citizens regularly pull this exact same thing in Canada, Australia, South Africa, and Germany (of all places) so no, this isn’t a 2A issue.

bithead1000 is the big bad of TLOU? I might have to watch now.

It's billionaires vs the federal government. You're bootlicking either way

is that why Renault’s acquisition of Nissan was called a merger? Japanese law?

“ California Attorney General Rob Bonta issued a guidance to state police departments to not criminalize or prosecute people for their pregnancy outcomes, including miscarriages possibly induced by substance use,”

You know it’s a dire news update when the silver lining presented is, “We’re not going to prosecute you

They’re nowhere near the market share in video games for that to be applicable.

I’m ready for a return to a world where the two major consoles had a cadre of exclusive games and you had to make a choice between systems with different strengths and weaknesses. This “we make essentially identical entertainment boxes, which UI is better?” bullshit has been boring. War is good for business.

The Scrambler isn’t exactly a wallet buster either.

That’s a little uncharitable: I think it’s very clear he was excited by the mythic storytelling possibilities that the Silver Surfer and Galactus suggested and sort of transmuted that aesthetic with his “Tales of Asgard” segments and then constructed a pantheon of “NEW GODS”. The relationship of the New Gods to Earth

It’s funny how this site picks and chooses when video game violence ought to be connected to real life violence. Germany is “draconian” but killing certain characters in GTA 5 should be removed because of real life violence.

Is video game violence connected to real world violence, or isn’t it?
