Out of the 20+ people in my Driver’s Ed class, the prickly-redneck of an instructor chose two students to actually drive with; everyone else had to schedule time with another instructor. We were supposed to do two days with 3 hours of driving each day after class.

That’s an interesting take on the prequels, that certain resonates today with Trump’s America. I’m not so sure that’s how they were intended in the early 2000's, though.

“The problem with Star Trek is it lacked grit, but you knew the grit was always happening in the background somewhere. As a fan of the universe, and not just the main ship, I am happy to see more of what allows everyone to be idealistic.”

I thought the defiant was a glorified shuttle?

No, not at all.

DS9 was not a show about the bridge officers, either, and it was one of Trek’s best. This nonsense is like TV version of Star Trek: Into Darkness. bleh.

Your second paragraph makes me think you’re not much of a Trek fan to begin with. You’re basically describing the J.J. Abrams Kelvin Timeline - and all the reasons that classic trek fans loathe it. The whole point of Star Trek is to show us a better version of ourselves - something to aspire towards.

Ha, clearly you didn’t read your own article link very carefully. Here’s the text:

There’s an outlier for every rule. You found one example of a hard coded password that’s one 2 models of camera. The company caught major flack for it, too. I looked, and this camera in question is not one of them.

They specifically say that “Frustratingly, no source has stated who manufactured the device. Gizmodo has reached out to both Hamer and Action, but we have not yet received a reply. We’ll update this post if we do.”

I strongly disagree with your premise. This is exactly the kind of thing an angry NRA hat-wearing guy would do. This is not at all something an angry “trump sucks” hat-wearer would do.

Wow, debates over technology issues really upset you, huh? You’re the one cussing me out and literally insulting me, and I’m the one “lashing out”? Mmmkay.

You are just looking at it emotionally. The solution is the same no matter who is to blame, no matter if a law is broken or not. You‘re being blinded by your empathy, and that’s admirable. But if you focus on what is there to DO about it, rather than what is there to FEEL about it... you’ll start to understand.

“Stop making house comparisons asshole”

On what planet do you think I’ve disputed that? It doesn’t mattet that someone did something illegal to her. What matters is the only reason it was possible is because she messed up and left her shit open. If reported to the authorities, they would tell her to lock her shit. There will always be assholes and

This is kinda ridiculous. If you don’t secure your own shit, are you really a victim at all?

Sure, but nothing I’ve talked about at all has anything to do with morals. It doesn’t matter if you’re dealing with a malicious psychopath, a prankster teenager, or an over-eager neural network AI. Your responsibility for your own security (digital or physical) has nothing to do with the morality of perpetrators.

Ahh, I think I had some syntax confusion. I completely agree with you.

Buzzwords that don’t accurately describe the scenario are even cooler. But you already knew that.
