Indeed. When I first loaded up ME2 I couldn't import from ME1 because I had copied my saves from my brothers system(which I originally played ME1 on) to my new console. I had to borrow a copy of ME1 from a friend load up my last save(right at the end) and win the game again. Then it imported fine.

It really does. I was contacted by the BBB 3 days after filing(it was a weekend) and was contacted by MS the next day. They gave me a person to contact at MS(with a NAME) and that person resolved the matter. She told me if I hadn't spoken to her she doesn't believe the matter would have ever been resolved.
